Red Dot Traffic

Red Dot Traffic

OTTO Ristorante is nestled in a cosy corner in the Red Dot Traffic Building right in the heart of town. The 1920s building is distinct because of its red exterior and also as a hotbed of design and creativity.

DID YOU KNOW?

Its name is derived from the red dot design awards and from its most recent occupant, the Singapore Traffic Police. The conservation building was built in 1928 as a police barrack.

Tenants are now occupying offices that used to be police investigation rooms, a rifle shooting range, a police canteen, an armory as well as jail cells.

The building was refurbished in 2005 to become the only creative hub in Singapore.

It houses the red dot design museum as well as creative services, lifestyle organizations, and food and beverage outlets, such as OTTO Ristorante.

Winners of the annual red dot design awards, one of the most coveted in the design world, are showcased at the red dot design museum.
